Agnès returns for Bravely Second

This Shonen Jump scan reveals that Bravely Default’s heroine will return for the 3DS sequel. Along with the beautiful but oddly posed artwork of Agnès, we get a few tiny screenshots and a preview of job outfits for the follow-up’s new main character Magnolia Arch. Thanks to @kazu4281 (via @Cheesemeister3k) for the scan!

New Dragon Quest X 3DS trailer

Still looks fantastic, and I still don’t trust that this is what the 3DS version will look like.

But wow, what is even going on in this game? Being a Japan-only MMO, I never dared follow the details of DQX, and after watching this I am super curious. A lot of running and jumping, and I guess a ship captain is there?

Dragon Quest X coming to 3DS

The Wii/Wii U/PC MMO will be released on 3DS in Japan September 4. Players of the handheld version will be able to share the same game world with the other versions. The control scheme looks really, really awkward and shoehorned, with basically pictures of Wii U buttons on the touchscreen.

It’s apparently built on streaming tech, like the mobile version, which means it isn’t so much a 3DS game as a 3DS client running an OnLive-style stream of the game running on a computer somewhere… else… Despite the actual game not really being on 3DS, it’ll still cost ¥3800 and come in a box (packaging shot above via Famitsu). As a result of the streaming, it’ll look better than most 3DS games but won’t be in 3D.

Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)

tinycartridge:

Crystal Monster Hunter Chronicles is looking nice in these screens posted on the 3DS RPG’s official Japanese site. Famitsu mentioned the game will have about 20 classes, including the usual Final Fantasy jobs: Knight, Monk, White Mage, Blck Mage, Red Mge, time Mage, Dragon Knight, Paladin, Thief, Ninja, and Bard, according to the translated report from Gematsu.

Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)

tinycartridge:

Square Enix purportedly revealed this new title in the latest issue of Jump (scan via @FarmboyInJapan). We don’t know much about it, other than the game is a multiplayer action RPG. It looks like a Final Fantasy/Crystal Chronicles-ish take on Monster Hunter? So far, it’s only announced for Japan.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link between Worlds 3DS XL Bundle

tinycartridge:

Gold, limited edition The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle releasing in Europe next month ⊟

This releases on November 22 for £199.99 ($319), and comes with a downloadable copy of the game. Retail copies of the game in Europe, by the way, has a reversible cover with the all-gold/U.S. art and a full-color version.

If this isn’t enough proof (along with the Fire Emblem 3DS XL bundle and the Chotto Mario handhelds) that Europe is winning the special edition systems war as far as Western territories go, Nintendo also intends to release the amazing Year of Luigi 3DS XL there on November 1 for £179.99 ($287).

I’m 98 percent sure Nintendo will bring the Zelda 3DS XL at least to the U.S. around Black Friday, just like it did with the Zelda 3DSes and DS Lites.
