FF7: No Battles on World Map
This works on any PC version (original 1998 version, Square Enix 2012 re-release, Steam Version).
As you can probably imagine, the “random battles temporarily disabled” property is not the only one that endures a Game Over. In fact, every “battle mode” status is retained, which allows for some even more ridiculous results, among them a generalization of what Yuffie Warping accomplishes.
FF7: How to get a Level 1 Yuffie

It’s not HP overflow, Ultimate Weapon simply has 0 HP at the beginning of the battle.

Basically, you stack on so many damage multipliers that you go past the stat cap for attacking, making it round itself upwards to basically infinity. The game can’t measure it, so it just instantly kills the enemy.
