I’m happy to announce that the English fan translation of 7th Dragon 2020 for the PSP is complete and available now! The patch is in .xdelta format and impossibly large (~520 MB), so I am distributing it via torrent and filepup.

Just to be clear, there is a glitch with the name entry screen - you’re going to need to use English Full-width text, not the basic Latin alphabet in the on-screen keyboard. You can reach this keyboard in PPSSPP (and maybe the actual PSP, I dunno) by pressing the L Button.

There are a few small tangles I would fix given enough time, and frankly I’m really nervous and worried I missed something big, but I can’t justify delaying it longer when it’s fully playable. If you want to ensure a smooth experience, you might want to wait a week or so to see if people have found any major bugs. It’s been tested on PPSSPP, but we’ll have to see how it runs on hardware. Further discussion will follow, but please, enjoy the patch! I’ll be watching for reports of any issues not listed in the readme, whether they’re minor typos or game-crashing bugs (a screenshot is helpful).

Green Hill Zone 【Songe x Drumby】

Songe:

I often jam with Drumby, spending hours trying to perfect some groovy licks. This time, we decided to have fun with Green Hill Zone. I figured I might record our session, to have some foundations to create a cool arrangement. So there you go, the drums and bass were recorded live, all the other stuff, I added later. I really like this concept because it’s so much more lively and rawer than my usual programmed drums mixes. Hope you’ll enjoy this as much as we did making it.

New Shining Resonance info from this week’s Famitsu.

Here we see Sonia in a brand new outfit. As it turns out, when the characters go into B.A.N.D mode to perform a song in-battle, their costumes often changed based on their position/what song is being played. Sonia’s dress-look happens when she’s placed in the center position of the group.

Similarly, Kilika’s outfit changes colors/patterns based on the song she’s singing.

And as usual, the character models in Shining Resonance continue to look wonderful, Tony Taka design be damned. It’s amazing how much they look like 2D characters.
